frequency inverters
For overhead cranes and machine construction, we supply and install frequency inverters and accessories. Our frequency inverters are available for almost any application and in currents ranging from 2A to 725A. They can also be optionally expanded with various accessories, including communication modules, filters, encoders, and brake resistors.
A frequency-controlled drive offers many advantages. All frequency inverters are available, upon request, with an STO (Safe Torque Off) module, ensuring safe drive disconnection up to safety class PL-d. With the help of the various communication modules, it is easy to integrate the frequency inverter into a new or existing control system. For specific applications, multiple frequency inverters can work together in a master-slave configuration.
Major advantages of a controlled drive include:
- High dynamics due to high controlled accelerations
- High maximum torque (1.6 x Mn) over the entire speed range
- Lower motor power required due to higher torque
- Smooth operation at low speeds
- High accuracy in positioning tasks
- Reduced mechanical wear due to controlled start-up
- Controlled stop and safe disconnection
- Master-Slave control
Our engineering department is happy to assist you in making the right choices and, if desired, can take care of the complete engineering and implementation.
At ELMEC, our goal in designing a drive is to create a reliable, trouble-free, and maintainable installation. With our large stock of spare parts, we help you get back on track as quickly as possible in case of downtime. We also strive to increase the availability of your installation.
